What the badge means, who can have one, and how to put it on your site.

What it means

A Verified badge on a MadisonSubs listing means one thing: the business confirmed, by phone, that they control the phone number published on that listing. We call the number already on the listing — not a number someone gives us — because that is the only check a competitor cannot fake.

That is the whole claim. It is deliberately narrow. Verified is not a rating, an endorsement, a license check, an insurance check, or a promise about the quality of anybody's work. We do not inspect job sites and we do not vouch for outcomes. If you are hiring, still ask for proof of insurance and still get it in writing.

Why we bother

A directory is only worth anything if the phone numbers are right. Listings are compiled from public sources, and public sources go stale — businesses move, numbers get reassigned, a cell number from six years ago ends up in front of a homeowner who needs a plumber tonight.

The verification call is also what stops the ugly version: without it, somebody could pay to take over a competitor's listing and point the calls at themselves. Checking against the number already published is the only thing standing in the way of that.

How to get one

Call or text (353) 201-4932. We will call you back on the number on your listing, confirm it is you, and turn the badge on. A Verified listing is $20 a month — no contract, no setup fee, cancel whenever you want.

Your basic listing is free and stays free whether or not you ever buy anything. If your details are wrong, tell us and we will fix them at no charge — that is not a paid feature.

Putting the badge on your website

If you have been given a badge, you are welcome to display it — on an awards or affiliations page, in your footer, wherever it fits. Copy this and paste it into your site:

Your badge and your listing are unaffected if you would rather not, and we will never ask you to use particular wording in the link. Getting it removed

Call or text (353) 201-4932 and we will take the badge off, or remove your listing from the directory entirely, no questions and no argument. Same day.
