The plain-language agreement for listing and advertising your business on MadisonSubs.

About these terms

MadisonSubs.com ("MadisonSubs," "we," "us") is a local subcontractor directory operated by Stone Fence Holdings LLC, based in Rutland, Wisconsin. These Terms of Service govern your use of the site and any paid plan you purchase. By listing your business, buying a paid plan, or using the site, you agree to these Terms.

1. The directory

MadisonSubs is a free directory of Dane County trade and service businesses, organized by trade and city. Basic listings are compiled from publicly available sources and are provided free of charge. We work to keep listing information accurate, but we do not guarantee that every detail is current or error-free. If your listing is wrong, call or text us and we'll correct it.

2. Plans and pricing

We offer these plans. All prices are in U.S. dollars and billed monthly:

All paid plans are month-to-month with no contract and no setup or one-time fees. Fees are billed in advance and renew automatically each month until you cancel. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before any price change.

3. Verified listing — ownership confirmation

To protect business owners, a Verified upgrade is arranged by phone rather than an instant online purchase. Before we mark a listing Verified, we confirm that you control the business — typically by verifying the phone number already published on the listing. We do this so that no one can take over or redirect a business they do not own. We may decline or reverse a Verified upgrade if we cannot confirm ownership.

4. Payment

Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card details. By purchasing a plan you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method the recurring monthly fee for that plan until you cancel. You are responsible for keeping your payment information current.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel any paid plan at any time. Cancellation stops all future charges; we do not refund the current month once it has begun. Full details are on our Refund & Cancellation Policy page, which is part of these Terms.

6. What we need from you

For paid plans, you agree to give us accurate business information and the access we need to deliver the service (for example, photos, your service area, and permission to set up a tracking number for missed-call text-back). The sooner you provide these, the sooner we can activate your service.

7. Text messaging (Local Growth OS)

If you buy the Local Growth OS, the system sends text messages on your behalf — missed-call replies, follow-ups, and review requests — to people who have contacted your business. By signing up you confirm you have the right to contact your own leads and customers, and you authorize MadisonSubs to send these messages for you. We handle the carrier registration required to send business texts legally, and we do not send spam or sell your contacts.

8. Results

We build and run systems that give every lead the best chance of becoming a job. We do not guarantee any specific number of leads, calls, reviews, or sales — those depend on your market and factors outside our control. What we stand behind is that the service is built, working, and managed. If it isn't working, we fix it.

9. Your data

Your leads and customer contacts are yours. How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy. If you cancel a paid plan, we can provide an export of your contacts on request.

10. Acceptable use

You agree to provide truthful information about your business and not to impersonate another business, post unlawful or misleading content, or misuse the messaging system. We may suspend or remove a listing, or end a paid plan (with notice where practical), for non-payment, fraud, or violation of these Terms.

11. Disclaimers and liability

The site and services are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stone Fence Holdings LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to a paid plan is limited to the amount you paid us for that plan in the three months before the claim.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Dane County, Wisconsin.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the site or your plan after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
